Tideswell United Blue Star formerly Tideswell Utd U16's were originally formed as the U12's in 2004, have always played in The Rowsley League and always in the top division of their age group. The original team was a selection of the best players from the the various Derwent Valley League teams - Tideswell, Bakewell, Bamford, Baslow and Hathersage. The team entered the top division and won the league in their inaugural season with only two defeats in 18 League matches. Six of the squad who played in the first game (an 8-1 away win at Carr Vale) Jack Bradbury, Jamie Carrington, Rob Green, Ash Milnes, Joe Muir and Mike Parker remain today and will turn senior players with the Club as it moves into a new era with a new name - Tideswell United Blue Star.

The team has been very successful in its' time, the highlight winning the U13 Division 1 and Primary Cup Double in 2005/6.

Finally it should also be mentioned that the Team Manager, Dave Bradbury, has completed 5 years in charge and will continue to manage the new senior version of the team in the Hope Valley League.
